Leaving Las Vegas: A New Start in Seattle for The Motivated Mutt

It's with mixed emotions that I make this announcement. My husband, David, has accepted a long-anticipated tech position in the vibrant city of Seattle, and that means The Motivated Muttâ„¢ is on the move!

Starting a dog training business from scratch in Las Vegas has been an incredible experience. When we moved here in 2020 mid-pandemic, we had no one. Not a single friend, family member, or acquaintance in the area, which meant starting a business traditionally based on word-of-mouth was difficult! Since then, I've met wonderful people and their dogs, many of my clients have become true friends. So, while it is sad, if I'm being honest, I'm more than ready to leave before going through another Las Vegas desert summer.

To all of you who recommended my business, liked my posts, shared my blogs, and supported The Motivated Mutt, I am profoundly grateful. This venture has been more than just a job; it's been a way to connect, make friends, and truly relish my time in this city. Each one of you and your fur babies has left a permanent (but welcome) mark on my heart.

Though I may be physically moving away, I want you to know that I'm just a call, text, or email away whenever you need advice or simply want to catch up. Our connection doesn't have to end with the miles that separate us. If you're still looking for a local Las Vegas dog trainer, I highly recommend Leanne James of Evolution Dog Training. You can check out her website below:

As I say goodbye to Las Vegas, I can't help but feel a rush of excitement about the new opportunities that lie ahead in our soon-to-be home, Seattle. Rest assured, I'll be sharing updates on social media to keep you all in the loop as The Motivated Mutt embarks on this exciting journey.

I want to express my deepest gratitude once more for being an integral part of my Las Vegas adventure. I will forever cherish the memories we've created and the progress we've made together.

Wishing you and your dogs all the best on your own adventures ahead!

Megan from The Motivated Mutt
